Cave Tubing
Cave tubing in Belize is an exciting adventure that takes you through the ancient Mayan underworld. The experience involves floating on an inner tube along the underground river inside the caves, surrounded by stunning limestone formations and crystal-clear water.
To start your adventure, you will first need to travel to the location where the cave system is located. Most tours depart from San Ignacio or Belize City, and transportation is usually included in the package. Once you arrive at the site, you will be given a safety briefing and issued with a helmet, a life jacket, and an inner tube.
After the safety briefing, you will start hiking through the jungle to the entrance of the cave system. The hike usually takes about 25mins to 30mins. Once you reach the entrance, you will float along the river inside the cave, tour takes you about 1 hr – 45mins to 2 hour.
During the cave tubing experience, you will see amazing stalactites, stalagmites, and other rock formations that have been sculpted over millions of years.
At the end of the cave tubing adventure, you will exit the cave and return to the starting point. Some tours may include a visit to a nearby Maya ruin or a jungle hike as part of the package.
